'Water For Life' Handball Charity Tornament Result Today was probably by far the worst day for a handball tornament, but we still managed to have fun and get through 95 percent of the tornament. The day started off dry but cloudy. Everyone was hesitant if to join the tornament or not. With the rain holding out people started joining. We managed to get 14 teams in. The draws were made and everyone went to battle. We reached the quarter finals and the rain started coming down, but that didn't stop the players drive to win. With the floors wet and all we managed to bring it down to the last 2 teams which are Ronald Flores & Jay C VS Mike Sneider & Alvaro Rebaza. With the rain coming down harder, the tornament director and players agreed to play the finals another day. We had a rep. from 'Water for life' come down and support our tornamant which was nice. She was really happy and impressed with the great sportsmanship of each individual player. She asked 'Do you guys usually play in the rain', i told her 'no not at all, we just feel the need to try and finish this tornament sinces it's for such a good cause'. She even said she wants to try handball some day. I just want to thank everyone who participated in the tornament which was 28 people, and the people who just donated money and didn't play which was 6 people. Thanks to Mike Watson for sponsoring us with the trophies and drinks. Special thanks to Andrea for having a handball tornament in which us handball players can come out and help those in need. In total we raised $350 which we are all proud of. Everyone's sportsmanship was phenominal. Everyone helped out refing with out a problem. Excellent!!!!
